Bureau Veritas has been granted ISO 17020 accreditation as a third-party type "A" body by the French Accreditation Body COFRAC (a full member of ILAC) with the specific scope of it services to governments related to international trade:
- pre-shipment inspection (PSI)
- verification of conformity (VOC)
- PSI: customs classification and valuation

After becoming in 2008 the first inspection company to be accredited by UKAS (United Kingdom accreditation body) for this scope of services, this new accreditation demonstrates Bureau Veritas’ commitment to quality and is an additional recognition of our expertise in securing exports and imports to regulated markets.
