CONSIGNMENTS CONFORMITY ASSESSMENT
- Verification of conformity program (VoC): Bureau Veritas is listed by the ministry of Public Health of Qatar to implement the verification of conformity program applicable to food products imported into Qatar.
- All regulated products must be checked before export and accompanied by a Certificate of Conformity (COC) for customs clearance in Qatar.
SCOPE OF DUTIES
- Pre-export verification of conformity (Documentary review, consignment inspection, Sample taking & analysis by accredited laboratories, Issuance of the Certificate of conformity upon satisfactory completion of the assessment)
- Conformity to Qatari standards, GSO adopted technical regulations and standards.
OBJECTIVES
- To protect the consumer against any dangerous, non-compliant or counterfeit product
- To improve product quality through compliance with current applicable Qatari standards and regulations
- To protect national industry against unfair competition and counterfeiting
- To streamline and improve the efficiency of clearance procedures for imported goods at ports of entry
- To facilitate trade operations by recognizing existing conformity proof to avoid unnecessary re-assessment.
